10th Anniversary Screening : in another place

부산 인터시티 레지던시 영화제작 사업이 영화제와 함께 10년을 맞이한다. 이 프로젝트를 통해, 지난 10년간 부산과 11개 도시(후쿠오카, 소피아, 글라스고, 골웨이, 산투스, 비톨라, 로마, 광주, 대구, 아디야만, 우츠) 사이에서 새로운 영화가 제작되었다. 언제나 영화의 도시였던 부산의 창작자들이 우리 영화제와 함께 성장하는 역동적인 이 프로젝트는 낯선 곳에서 보기를 멈추지 않는 창작자들의 열정과 노력으로 그 동력을 유지해왔다. 도시에서 도시로 이어지는 이 움직임의 힘은 펜데믹 기간에도 멈춘 적이 없다. 우리는 이 프로젝트와 함께했던 10년의 시간을 통해 도시와 나, 서로 다른 언어와 풍경 사이에 놓인 창작의 궤적을 살펴보고자 한다. 영화제 기간 마련한 특별 기획 토크에서는 부산과 후쿠오카를 오가는 창작의 움직임을 따라가 본다. 이를 통해 낯선 장소에서 감각의 좌표를 새롭게 배치하는 일이 창작자에게 어떤 새로움을 불러 일으키는지 함께 나눠보고자 한다.

The Busan Intercity Residency Film Project marks its tenth anniversary alongside the festival. Over the past decade, the project has supported the production of new films between Busan and eleven partner cities: Fukuoka, Sofia, Glasgow, Galway, Santos, Bitola, Rome, Gwangju, Daegu, Adıyaman, and Lodz. The project has grown with the festival through the work of Busan filmmakers who have continued to make films in unfamiliar places. The movement between cities did not stop, even during the pandemic. Looking back on ten years of the project, this special program traces the paths of filmmaking between cities, across different languages and landscapes. A special talk during the festival follows the movement of filmmakers between Busan and Fukuoka, exploring how working in an unfamiliar place reshapes perception and opens new possibilities for creation.
