시놉시스 Synopsis
임신 6개월인 미나(28세)는 아직 태동이라는 걸 느껴보지 못했다. 아이를 낳는다는 것에 대한 걱정이 많다. 그녀는 잡지에 기고할 글을 쓰기 위하여 부산에 사는 사람들의 첫 기억을 수집하러 나선다.
A six-month pregnant woman Mina (age 28) hasn’t felt fetal movement yet and is really anxious about what birthing child is like. For her magazine-writer work, she collects people’s first memories in the Busan city.

2017년은 부산 인터시티 레지던시 영화제작사업이 출발한 해다. 후쿠오카의 짐보 요시마사가 부산에 와 연출한 이 작품은 지난 10년간 이 프로젝트를 통해 제작된 극영화 가운데 주목할 만한 결과물 중 하나다. 작품에 담긴 10년 전 부산의 풍경은 그 사이에 변한 것과 변하지 않은 것들을 떠올려보게 하는데, 그런 의미에서 이 상영은 기억에 주목하는 영화의 주제와도 만난다. 주인공 미나는 부산 곳곳에서 사람들의 생활 속으로 들어가 취재를 한다. 첫 번째 기억에 대해 묻는 이 여정의 끝에서, 그는 자신의 첫 번째 기억과 대면하게 된다. 그것은 다가오는 출산, 그와 함께 열릴 경험한 적 없는 수많은 처음들이다. 아직 오지 않은 그 시간은 도시의 풍경과 사람들의 목소리에 실려, 섬세하고도 선명하게 스크린 위에 그려진다.

2017 marked the beginning of the Busan Inter-City Residency Film Project. Directed in Busan by Fukuoka-based filmmaker Yoshimasa Jimbo, this film stands among the project’s most notable fiction works of the past decade. The Busan captured here, ten years ago, invites us to reflect on what has changed and what has remained the same. In this sense, its return to the screen resonates with the film’s own preoccupation with memory. The protagonist, Mina, moves through Busan, gathering vivid voices from the everyday lives of its people. At the end of a journey spent asking about their first memories, she arrives at her own first. It is the approaching birth of her child—and the countless beginnings she has yet to experience that will open with it. That not-yet-arrived time is rendered with delicacy and clarity through the city’s landscapes and the voices of its people.
