시놉시스 Synopsis
영화는 자신이 동경하던 작품을 만든 한국인 영화감독 친구에 얽힌 의문을 풀기 위해 인도에서 부산으로 떠난 주인공 '조야'의 여정을 그립니다.
마음을 정리하기 위해 시작되었던 이 여정은, 점차 친구와 그녀 자신에 대한 기존의 인식을 송두리째 뒤흔드는 불안하고 충격적인 진실들을 마주하는 과정으로 변모해 갑니다.
The film follows Zoya, who travels from India to Busan in search of answers about her Korean filmmaker friend, whose work she admires.
What begins as a quest for closure unravels into a journey of unsettling discoveries that challenge her perceptions of both him and herself

인도 여성 조야가 부산을 찾는다. 박상훈이라는 이름의 한국 남성을 찾기 위해서다. 상훈은 단편영화를 만들다가 장편영화 제작을 준비하던 영화감독이고, 조야는 그의 영화에 출연하고 시나리오를 함께 쓰기도 했던 사이다. 조야는 상훈의 흔적을 따라 그의 집으로 추정되던 곳, 그의 영화가 남아있을 만한 곳, 그를 알만한 사람들을 차례차례 거친다. 그리고 상훈을 알던 또 다른 여성을 만나 상훈과의 기억을 풀어 놓는다. 익숙한 부산의 장소들을 거니는 조야의 낯선 발걸음, 무엇이든 조심스럽고 차분하게 이어가는 조야의 말과 동작이 꽤 독특한 리듬으로 다가오는 작품이다. 타인과의 이별 속도를 천천히 조정해 나가는 듯한 조야의 이 여행은 엔딩 크레딧의 정보에 미루어 볼 때, 현실에서 일어났던 한 이별의 해원이기도 하다.

Zoya, an Indian woman, travels to Busan in search of a Korean man named Park Sang-hoon. Sang-hoon was a film director preparing his feature debut after making a series of short films, and Zoya was his creative partner who acted in his work and co-wrote screenplays with him. Tracing Sang-hoon's footsteps, Zoya carefully navigates through a series of locations: the place presumed to be his home, places where his films might still exist, and the people who might have known him. Along the way, she meets another woman connected to Sang-hoon and begins to unpack her memories of him. The film establishes a highly unique rhythm through Zoya's unfamiliar footsteps treading across the familiar landscapes of Busan, accompanied by her cautious and serene words and movements. Zoya’s journey, which feels like a slow recalibration of the speed at which we let someone go, is ultimately—as revealed by the information in the end credits—a real-life act of mourning and resolution for a true farewell.
