시놉시스 Synopsis
성인이 된 딸과 어머니의 관계는 갈등과 병으로 인해 점점 삐걱거리기 시작한다. 자신과 어머니를 구하기 위한 절박한 시도 속에, 딸은 어머니의 내면 깊숙한 곳으로 파고든다.
The relationship between a mother and her adult daughter is strained by conflict and illness. In a desperate attempt to save herself and her mother, the daughter delves into her mother's mind.

태풍이 스쳐 지나간 자리에는 쉽게 마르지 않는 습기와 오래 남아 있는 냄새가 있다. 물에 잠기듯 무너져가는 어머니를 구하기 위해, ‘나’는 기이하고도 절박한 방식으로 어머니의 몸속에 차오른 물을 빼내려 한다. 그러나 구하려는 행위는 점차 경계를 흐리게 만들고, ‘나’ 역시 깊은 감정의 수면 아래로 가라앉기 시작한다. 애니메이션 <리큐르(FLUID)>는 물과 신체, 기억의 이미지를 뒤섞으며 가족 안에서 전이되는 슬픔과 돌봄의 감각을 탐색한다. 긁히고 벗겨진 필름을 연상시키는 거친 작화 질감은 불안정한 감정의 표면을 시각화하고, 화면 위를 떠다니는 스크래치와 노이즈는 쉽게 붙잡히지 않는 기억의 흔적처럼 남는 것도 같다. 현실과 환상의 경계를 명확히 구분하지 않은 채, 반복해서 울려 퍼지는 태풍 경보와 물의 이미지는 설명되지 못한 감정을 서서히 증폭시키며, 익숙한 가족의 풍경을 낯선 신체 감각과 공포로 변형시킨다. 상실 이후에도 사라지지 않는 감정의 잔향과 타인의 슬픔 속으로 함께 잠겨 들어가는 감각은 끝내 누구의 슬픔인지조차 흐릿해진다.

In the wake of a passing typhoon, lingering dampness and a scent that refuses to fade remain. In a bizarre and desperate attempt to save her mother, who is collapsing as though submerged in water, “I” try to drain the water filling her body. Yet the act of saving her gradually blurs the boundaries between us, and “I,” too, begin to sink beneath the surface of deep emotion. The animated short Liquor intertwines images of water, the body, and memory to explore grief passed down within a family and the experience of caregiving. Its rough visual texture, reminiscent of scratched and peeling film, gives form to unstable emotions, while scratches and noise drifting across the screen linger like traces of memories that cannot be grasped. Without clearly distinguishing reality from fantasy, recurring typhoon warnings and images of water slowly amplify unarticulated emotions, transforming the familiar landscape of family into something strange and frightening. The echoes of emotion that persist after loss, and the sensation of sinking into another’s grief, ultimately blur the question of whose sorrow it is.
