Hana’s father makes the decision to close 'Raifukutei,' his long-running ramen shop in Fukuoka. On its final day of operation, a late customer arrives. It is Shinta, the father's former apprentice. Following Shinta's appearance, the film expands its gaze into the inner kitchen, gently stepping into the intimate time of these characters. As the boundary between the dining area and the kitchen—the space where the food is eaten and the space where it is made—dissolves, long-held sentiments gradually come to light. After serving Shinta his final bowl and seeing him off, the father and daughter, who have just said goodbye to much more than a single person, sit side by side to observe their own private farewell. The camera warmly envelops their shared presence amidst words left unspoken. A house that invites fortune, ramen that brings fortune, sayonara. Hovering at the edge of an ending that has not quite finished, this film quietly contemplates the warmth still lingering on the threshold.
