시놉시스 Synopsis
공공 구급차 대부분이 폐지된 뒤, 루는 개조한 밴을 구급차 삼아 '앰뷸런스 해적'으로 일한다. 밴은 그녀와 중병을 앓는 아버지의 집이기도 하다. 산소 마스크에 의지해 서서히 죽어가는 아버지를 태운 채, 밤거리에서 그녀는 환자를 옮긴다. 어느 밤, 임무 중 그녀는 자신의 편견과 마주하고, 자신이 몸담은 시스템의 진짜 얼굴을 드러내는 선택의 순간에 직면한다.
After most public ambulances have been abolished, Lu works as a ambulance pirate with her converted van as an ambulance. At the same time, the car is also her home, where she lives with her seriously ill father - strapped to an oxygen mask and slowly dying. During a night-time mission, she is finally confronted with her prejudices and a decision that shows her the true face of the system she works for.

영화는 현대 유럽을 배경으로 삼는 동시에 디스토피아의 상상력을 곁들인 작품이다. 이민자들의 대거 이주와 정부의 폭력 진압으로 인해 도심은 혼란에 빠져 있다. 가장 큰 문제는 의료 서비스다. 의료 지원과 보험 체계가 사실상 마비되었고, 시민들은 ‘Paradies 2030’라는 의료보험 복권에 당첨되기만을 기다린다. 이러한 상황에서 구급차를 불법 개조한 민간 구조대들이 활동을 펼치게 된다. 주인공 루 역시 민간 구조대, 속칭 ‘구조 해적’이라 불리는 이들 중 하나다. 루의 구급차엔 병환을 앓는 아버지가 함께 타 있다. 세상의 비극에 휩싸인 루와 아버지는 누구를 구할 것인지, 우리가 누굴 구해도 될 것인지 등의 윤리적 문제로 다툰다. 영화는 잿빛의 톤 앤드 매너, 정제된 극의 분위기를 통해 무거운 사회적 메시지와 반전의 서사를 집약해 낸다.

Set in a dystopian Europe, Paradies 2030 depicts a world in chaos from mass immigration and violent repression. With the healthcare system collapsed, survival hinges on a medical insurance lottery. Illegal "rescue pirates" operate modified ambulances to save those left behind. Lou, one such pirate, rides with his sick father, confronting ethical dilemmas about who deserves to be saved—and who decides. The film delivers its grim social critique through a bleak tone and restrained intensity.
