영화는 자폐를 가진 세 여성의 이야기를 담담하면서도 솔직하게 들려준다. 갑자기 찾아오는 발작이나 작은 소리에도 예민하게 반응했던 순간들, 자신이 남들과 다른 이유를 찾지 못해 혼란스러웠던 어린 시절의 기억, 다른 사람들의 시선을 의식하며 ‘정상’으로 보이기 위해 필사적으로 스스로를 감추었던 경험까지. 특히 영화는 여성이라는 이유로 장애 진단이 늦어지고 잘못 이해받는 현실을 지적한다. 하지만 그 목소리는 날카롭기만 하진 않다. 영화는 ‘극복’이라는 낡은 틀에서 벗어나, 매 순간 자신답게 살아가기 위해 애쓰는 이들의 현실을 따뜻하게 비춘다. 장애와 여성이라는 정체성이 겹쳐질 때 겪는 사회적 차별과 편견을 보여주면서도 서로에게 기대며 자기만의 자리를 찾아가는 주인공들의 연대, 나아가 세상과의 연대를 희망적으로 그린다.

The film quietly follows the lives of three autistic women, revealing their past struggles with sensory sensitivity, confusion, and masking under social pressure. It highlights the often-overlooked challenges of late diagnosis and misrecognition in women. Rather than framing autism as something to “overcome,” the film warmly depicts their pursuit of authenticity. While exposing discrimination at the intersection of gender and disability, it also offers hope through their solidarity and growing connection with the world.
