시놉시스 Synopsis
어머니와 함께 도시에서 자란 천춘화는 직장에서 일하던 중 아버지의 갑작스러운 부고를 듣는다. 장례식장에서 그녀는 같은 아버지를 둔 이복동생 천추스와 마주친다. 두 사람은 혈연으로 이어져 있지만 정서적으로는 아무런 유대가 없었다. 아버지에게 애정을 느끼지 못했던 춘화는 아버지의 생명보험금을 받기 위해 잠시 동생을 돌보기로 한다. 그러나 결국 두 사람 사이의 간극을 메운 것은 아버지가 남긴 마지막 바람이었다. 서로에게 무관심했던 남매는 아버지의 마지막 뜻을 마주하며 묵은 원망을 내려놓고, 새로운 관계를 만들어가기 시작한다.
Chen Chunhua, who had grown up in the city with her mother, receivedthe news of her father's sudden passing while she was at work. At the funeral, she encountered her half-brother Chen Qiushi, whom she shared a father with, but had no emotional bond. Though she felt no affection for her father, she temporarily took on the responsibility of caringfor her younger brother in hopes of obtaining her father's life insurance payout. Ultimately, it was their father's last wish that bridged the gap between the two siblings, transforming theirrelationship from one of cold indifference to one where they laid their grievances to rest.

삶은 때때로 사람을 천천히 닳게 만든다. 반복되는 하루와 직장의 고됨 속에서, 춘화는 자신을 돌볼 마음조차 잊은 채 살아간다. 아버지의 죽음 이후 그가 돌아간 곳에는 오래 끊어졌다고 생각했던 시간들과, 낯선 가족이 남겨져 있다. 春华秋实. 봄의 꽃과 가을의 열매라는 뜻을 가진 이름처럼, 서로 다른 계절처럼 멀리 떨어져 있던 두 사람이 함께 시간을 보낸다. 누군가의 빈자리가 남겨놓은 공기와 이름을 가진 나무에 대한 이야기는 삶을 버텨내는 일에만 익숙했던 이에게 자신 역시 누군가에게 남겨진 존재였음을 깨닫기에 충분하다. 어떤 위로는 너무 늦게 찾아오고, 어떤 마음은 계절을 건너서야 닿는다. 곁에 머물고, 함께 시간을 견디고, 서로의 이름을 불러주며, 느리고 조용한 마음들이 쌓여, 영화는 여전히 고단한 삶 속에서도 사라지지 않는 작은 온기를 바라본다.

Life sometimes slowly wears a person down. Caught in the cycle of repetitive days and the exhaustion of work, Chunhua carries on, having forgotten even how to care for herself. After her father’s death, she returns to a place where an unfamiliar family and a past she thought long severed still remain. Chunhua and Qiushi. Their names, taken from the Chinese expression 春华秋实—meaning “spring flowers and autumn fruit”—suggest two people separated like distant seasons, now beginning to spend time together. The lingering air of someone’s absence and a tree that bears a name are enough to make someone accustomed only to enduring life realize that she, too, was someone left behind in another person’s life. Some comfort arrives too late, and some feelings take seasons to reach one another. As they stay by each other’s side, endure time together, and call each other by name, slow and quiet feelings accumulate. The film gazes upon a small warmth that refuses to disappear, even amid life’s continuing hardships.
