영화는 노년이라는 삶의 후반부에서 자신을 위한 시간을 처음으로 살아내려는 사람들의 이야기를 담는다. 오랜 시간 가족과 타인을 위해 살아왔던 이들이 이제는 자기 자신을 중심에 두고 감정과 관계를 다시 바라본다. 특히 눈에 띄는 건 주체적으로 욕망하고 선택하는 노년 여성들의 모습이다. 새로운 사랑을 시작하거나 오랜 욕망을 조심스럽게 꺼내는 장면은 단순한 로맨스를 넘어선다. 변화하는 시대 속에서 노년은 더 이상 희생이나 마무리의 시간이 아니다. 영화는 이들의 생동감 넘치는 증언을 통해 노년의 삶을 새로운 가능성의 시간으로 바라보게 하며, 각자가 자신만의 방식으로 삶을 다시 선택해나가는 모습을 비추며 지금 한 세대의 인식이 전환되고 있음을 보여준다.
