Indonesian migrant workers who have fled gather in a makeshift hut. The film deals with the oppression and exploitation migrant workers face in Taiwanese society, and in that it allows them to speak from their own experiences, it resembles a documentary. However, as more people gather in the hut, their voices gradually become indistinguishable and reach us as a collective utterance—at times resembling a kind of performance. They are not merely interviewees exposing injustice or positioned as passive others; rather, they actively name themselves as subjects. In this way, the film prompts reflection on the long-standing questions of documentary boundaries and the ethics of representation.
