시놉시스 Synopsis
베트남 여공들은 기숙사에서 낮, 밤, 심야 3교대로 나눠 일한다. 그중 일부는 파업을 준비하며 피켓과 소품을 만들고 상황극을 연습한다. 그러나 기숙사 관리자는 이들을 포기하도록 설득하고 송환위협까지 한다.
Vietnamese female workers are divided into three shifts in this dormitory, day, night, and late-night shift. Some of them are preparing a strike: making sign boards, props, and practicing the action play. However the dorm manager persuades them to give up, and threatens them with repatriation.

계절과 시간을 알 수 없이 언제나 어두운 기숙사. 옷, 수건, 커튼으로 둘러싸인 이층 침대 하나가 방 가운데 놓였고, 사람들은 사당인 것처럼 거기에서 기도를 하곤 한다. 폐쇄된 공간 안에서 그들이 나누는 대화, 행동, 파업과 연극은 서로 뒤엉켜 현실과 허구의 경계를 구분하기 어렵다. 영화 내내 흐르는 이 음산하고 괴이한 기운은 어디에서 오는 걸까? 꿈을 품고 낯선 땅에 도착한 이주 노동자들의 절망으로부터? 기업의 착취로부터? 아니면 이들을 협박하는 관리자로부터?

A dormitory, always dark with no sense of season or time. A single bunk bed surrounded by clothes, towels, and curtains sits at the center of the room, where people pray as if it were a shrine. Within this closed space, their conversations, actions, strike, and theater intertwine, blurring the lines between reality and fiction. Throughout the film, a haunting and eerie atmosphere lingers—where does it come from? From the despair of migrant workers who arrived in a strange land with dreams? From corporate exploitation? Or from the managers who threaten them?
